Studio Blue Folks is an art studio that designs modern art objects and new-generation furniture. Founded in 2021 by Ismail Pehlivan, a second-generation member specializing in economics from a family with over 40 years of experience in garden furniture production, Studio Blue Folks represents a unique blend of heritage and innovation. As a designer, Ismail Pehlivan, unbound by any single point of reference, enjoys drawing inspiration from the cultures of Mediterranean peoples throughout history, giving his studio the name Blue Folks, which evokes these diverse cultures. However, Studio Blue Folks also works on pieces inspired by various art movements; some of its most admired works are crafted in Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles using interdisciplinary techniques. Studio Blue Folks advocates for the superiority of craftsmanship, believing that machines and technology should only serve as supporting elements to handmade artistry to create genuine works.
